20 Years of Celebrating All Kids:
A Message from our CEO and Board Chair

This year, we’re celebrating an incredible milestone – 20 years of supporting all kids, youth and families! A lot can change for a child in 20 years as they grow. From reaching different developmental milestones and gaining independence, to transitioning into adulthood. Just like the kids and youth we serve, CTN has grown, evolved and transformed over the last two decades all while keeping families at the centre of what we do. We have become a dynamic network that supports tens of thousands of families across our communities. Whether a family accessed CTN years ago or just this year, our goal has been to support the development and well-being of kids and youth with disabilities and developmental needs.

Over the years, our journey has been shaped by listening to families, nurturing strong community partnerships, embracing innovation and welcoming dedicated team members – all with families at the core of CTN. As we move forward, our 2022 – 2027 strategic plan continues to guide our work which is rooted in our four core values of inclusion, collaboration, responsibility and innovation. These values are woven into everything we do; from the services we offer, to how we engage with families, partners and communities.

To celebrate 20 years, we are excited to host an inclusive birthday celebration for kids and youth this November. It’s important for all kids to have access to fun, friends, fitness and function – every child deserves to be included and celebrated. This event welcomes everyone and will support our vision of a vibrant community where all kids, youth and families belong. Together, we’ll continue building a community where every child and youth feels valued and supported, and every family feels welcome.

CTN Family Fund

Creating a Community of Support for Families: CTN’s Family Fund

For families raising a child with disabilities and developmental needs, access to specialized equipment and support is often essential and can come with significant financial costs. These costs are not typically covered by government programs, insurance or other charitable programs. CTN’s Family Fund provides some financial assistance to CTN families to enhance their child’s ability to participate in daily activities and improve accessibility at home and in the community. The fund is supported entirely by contributions from generous donors. This past year, the Fund provided $24,731 in support to 117 families.
